AC Green spent 16 seasons in the NBA and won three championships with the Los Angeles Lakers spanning three decades (in 1987, 1988, and 2000), beginning with teammates such as Showtimes’ Magic Johnson,
Coach Pat Riley, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, and James Worthy, and ending with Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, and Coach Phil Jackson.
AC also played with Charles Barkley and the Phoenix Suns, Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks, and Alonzo Mourning’s Miami Heat.
AC is the only player in Laker history to win championships in both the “Fabulous” Forum and Crypto.Com Arena.
AC still holds the record of playing the most consecutive games in the NBA, with 1192 games; AC is one of the current Global Ambassadors for the NBA.
Previously, AC owned and operated Denny’s restaurants for over a decade
and was the largest minority-owned franchisee for the Denny’s Corporation across North America.
Adding to this, AC owned several car dealerships including one of the largest brands a flagship Hyundai Dealership. He was on the executive management team for Drummer Advertising, Inc. which was the lead marketing firm for publicly-traded 1.800. Dentist, Corinthian and Kaplan Colleges.
He was partner at Bond, Aust & Green Capital Corporation offering financial and business infrastructure solutions to emerging, developing and advanced stage-companies, Motor Latte, a biofuel company, Green Team Travel; an internet and home-based business, Stoneridge Real Estate, Green Wheeler Productions; a film company focused on family entertainment (films, sit-coms and documentaries), FU-GEN and MKO; men’s apparel lines, Bio sport, sports energy drink, and Going Green With AC Green; a health and wellness company with various initiatives, as well as chief marketing officer.
Currently here in 2024 AC is involved in many businesses. He is a partner in Beyond Global 45 a health-driven food company and is getting ready to launch Warrior an Energy Hi Alkaline Water. He has a principal partnership in Medical Testing labs across the US. These labs stemmed from COVID testing during the Pandemic and have now grown into other necessary testing for health and safety measures.
In addition to his achievements in basketball and business, AC Green is a youth mentor, author and frequent speaker. He is passionate about working with, and on behalf of, youth.
In 1989, AC established the AC Green Youth Foundation to encourage leadership in children who might otherwise be forgotten, including those who lack positive role models, are physically and/or emotionally abused, are economically disadvantaged or may be victims of homelessness.
AC’s mission is to help young people Build self-esteem and character and learn moral and ethical principles which will help them make responsible decisions.
As an example of his commitment, he helps the Los Angeles Unified School District feed quality meals to over 600,000 students in K-12, and supports a program that helps kids become more physically active which together will reduce childhood obesity.
A.C. is a role model that youth across America can respect, and for this he was recognized in the House of Representatives Congressional Record of October 26, 1999 and by President George Bush when A.C. attended a ceremony in the Oval Room during Black History Month in 2006.
During his business ventures and community service, A.C. has made speaking appearances across the world, in countries such as China, India, Mexico, Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines. He has also appeared on television and radio programs throughout the country, including Oprah, The Today Show, Good Morning America, 20/20, The O’Reilly Factor, ESPN First Take, and NBA First Take.
